A Special Meeting of HRIA Members approved a name change on April 19. We’re proud to join the CPHR Canada brand as CPHR Alberta – with over 92% support in today’s vote.
Starting April 26, we will be known as the Chartered Professionals in Human Resources of Alberta, joining tens of thousands of HR professionals across nine provinces and three territories across Canada.
“We see today’s overwhelming vote in favor of this new brand as the strongest endorsement in the value of working together. Unifying our associations under one brand is a capstone for CPHR Canada – years of effort to create a clear, strong and consistent CPHR designation,” says Peter Dugandzic, CEO of CPHR Alberta.
The change to CPHR Alberta is part of our five-year business plan – The Path Forward. Our ambitious plan is already underway with improvements to the products and services our members are seeking, and a higher profile for our association – and profession – in Alberta and across the country.
So when does everything change? We’re working behind the scenes to have everything ready for an April 26th rollout. Check back soon.
