Walk and Talk Program

The Walk & Talk program is a one-time, two-hour meeting between senior HR leaders and HR students who are members of CPHR Alberta. It's a chance for HR professionals with extensive experience to offer emerging HR professionals career insights, and earn CPD hours. It's also incredibly valuable opportunity for students to ask how to get started, who to talk to, what skills are in demand, and other questions to set them up for success.

"This is a very valuable program for students and executives alike. The program is an opportunity to create an intentional space and framework for both students and executives to connect. Both students and executives are very busy and having some intentional time to connect, share and develop relationships is such a fundamental part of what HR strives to do."

-Program participant, 2019

"As an Executive participant I was able to give back to a profession that has been very good to me. It was great to connect with and share experience and perspectives with a new Canadian as well as a new to HR professional. I was challenged by her thoughtful questions and by her preparation for our session. It was a great meeting!"

-Senior leader, summer 2019 program participant
