Lori Brienza

Lori Brienza

Director

Lori is a workplace lawyer with over 15 years of experience supporting organizations and HR professionals across Alberta. In her practice, Lori partners with senior leaders and HR teams to make strategic, risk-informed decisions that align people practices with organizational goals. Her experience spans employment, labour relations, human rights, privacy, and regulatory compliance. She is an experienced advocate before courts, arbitrators, and administrative tribunals, bringing a balanced and solutions-focused perspective to her work.


Lori brings to the CPHR Alberta Board a collaborative leadership style, strong governance experience, and a commitment to advancing the HR profession. She is passionate about supporting people-centered leadership, fostering inclusive and resilient workplace cultures, and helping organizations navigate the evolving world of work.


Lori is a frequent speaker on emerging workplace issues. She has held leadership roles with the Canadian Bar Association and previously served as a Public Member on the Board of Directors of the Alberta Motor Vehicle Industry Council (AMVIC).


She holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Windsor, and is a member of the Law Society of Alberta.
