About the Speaker
MacDonald is an International Labour Economist and HR professional with over 20 years of experience in job functions within the public, private, and non-profit sectors focusing on the intersection of Human Capital Strategy, Workforce Analytics, Labor Economics, Organizational Transformation, HR Technology, Public Education, Workforce Development Productivity & Economic Value. MacDonald is a dedicated labour economist with deep expertise in analyzing the forces shaping the modern workforce. With a focus on real-world impacts and evidence-based policy analysis, MacDonald studies the dynamics of labor supply and demand, wage structures, employment trends, and the decisions governments, companies, and individuals make about work.
Currently serving as the University of Calgary, Continuing Education Director for Corporate Training & Workforce Development, MacDonald has lived and worked across five continents, including North America, Europe, South America, Asia and Africa. MacDonald is a Doctoral Degree (PhD) Candidate in Economics and Business Administration with a specific focus on International Human Resource and Organizational Management at the University of Vaasa, Finland.
