Creating a workplace where people feel safe to share what’s real requires more than a check-in. It requires a foundation of psychological safety, inclusive leadership, and emotional intelligence.
This workshop is designed for HR professionals and people leaders who want to go beyond surface-level wellness strategies and create a culture where mental health conversations are truly normalized and supported.
This is for you if you deeply care about your teams… but often find yourself unsure how to respond when someone’s struggling. Maybe you’ve laid awake at night, worried about a team member’s well-being… or avoided hard conversations because you didn’t want to say the wrong thing.
We’ll explore:
• What gets in the way of honest check-ins (it’s not just time)
• Why psychological safety is the foundation for inclusion, mental health, and team performance
• The 3-step check-in framework, and what makes it work (or fail)
• How to lead with care without taking it all on or burning out
• Real-world scenario and strategies to navigate common mental health and inclusion challenges
• Why inclusion means creating a culture where people don’t have to erase parts of themselves to be safe or successful
This session is rooted in lived experience, trauma-informed practices, and the belief that when people feel safe to speak up and be real, they don’t just survive… they thrive.
