About the Event

We are regularly finding friction between the established systems and structures of an organization and the lived or expected norms of their culture. This can create challenges and imbalances between people and business outcomes. These challenges continually foster a situation where the execution of work, is reliant on individual skill and resilience to continually overcome systemic barriers.  This often results in increased turnover, staff burnout, fatigue, increased people issues (e.g., harassment, conflict) as well as unfulfilled business objectives.

As organizations, we have the responsibility to find ways to create and design systems that amplify our people. This can be large scale items, like business processes, policies, leadership presence and power, as well as smaller scale ones like how meetings are run.

At Ember we are rumbling our way through these challenges in relation to how we deliver on our services, the ways as leaders we facilitate a culture of feedback, and how we implement infrastructure to support communal knowledge and understanding.

In this session the Ember team will discuss:

  • The challenges experienced has we are integrating leadership, company values and organizational systems.
  • The impact of leadership wake on forming organizational systems.
  • What structures we have put in place to discuss and innovate ways to address them.
