If you graduated from one of the following institutions and meet the eligibility requirements, you can apply to waive the National Knowledge Exam and move to the next step of becoming a CPHR - the Experience Validation Assessment. Learn about how you get the CPHR Designation here.

Alberta

  • Athabasca University - Bachelor of Management in Human Resources Management. Applies to graduates from December 2016 and onward, with an overall cumulative GPA of 2.7 or higher.
  • Bow Valley College - Human Resources Diploma Program. Applies to graduates from April 2016 onward, with an overall cumulative GPA of 2.67 or higher. 
  • Concordia University of Edmonton - Bachelor of Management in Human Resources. Applies to graduates from December 2017 and onward with a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher.
  • Mount Royal University - Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resources. Applies to graduates from November 2011 and onward, with an overall cumulative GPA of 2.7 or higher.
  • MacEwan University – Bachelor of Commerce with a Human Resources Management Major. Applies to graduates from January 2012 and onward, with an overall cumulative GPA of 2.7 or higher.
  • MacEwan University – Diploma in Human Resources Management. Applies to graduates from January 2012 and onward, with an overall cumulative GPA of 2.7 or higher.
  • NAIT - Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resources Management. Applies to graduates from April 2012 and onward, with an overall cumulative GPA of 2.7 or higher.
  • Red Deer College - Graduate Certificate in Human Resources Management. Applies to graduates from August 2018 and onward, with an overall cumulative GPA of 2.7 or higher.
  • SAIT - Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resources Management. Applies to graduates from November 2018 and onward, with an overall cumulative GPA of 2.7 or higher.
  • University of Alberta, Alberta School of Business - Bachelor of Commerce with an HR Management concentration. Applies to graduates from April 2012 and onward, who have completed the required courses with an overall GPA average of 2.7 or higher. View the required courses here.
  • University of Calgary, Haskayne School of Business - Bachelor of Commerce in Organizational Behaviour and Human Resources. Applies to graduates from January 2019 and onward, who have completed the required courses with an overall GPA average of 2.7 or higher. View the required courses here.
  • University of Lethbridge, Dhillon School of Business - Bachelor of Management in Human Resources and Labour Relations. Applies to graduates from September 2018 and onward, who have completed the required courses with an overall GPA average of 2.3 (70%) or higher. View the required courses here.

British Columbia

  • Acsenda School of Management – Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resources Management. Applies to graduates who graduated from the program after May 2014 with an overall cumulative average of 70% or more.
  • Ashton College - Diploma in Human Resources Management program; Applies to graduates who graduated from the program after May 2017 with an overall cumulative average of 70% or more.
  • British Columbia Institute of Technology – Human Resources Management Diploma Program. Applies to graduates who graduated from the program after May 2013, with an overall cumulative average of 70% or more.
  • Camosun College - Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resource Management & Leadership. Applies to graduates who graduated from the program after December 2012, with an overall cumulative average of 70% or more.
  • College of New Caledonia – Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management. Applies to graduates who graduated from the program after August 2016 with an overall cumulative average of 70% or more.
  • Kwantlen College - Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resources Management. Applies to graduates who graduated from the program after May 2012, with an overall cumulative average of 70% or more.
  • Okanagan College - Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resources Management. Applies to graduates who had enrolled in the program after May 2013, with an overall cumulative average of 70% or more.
  • University of the Fraser Valley - Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resources Management. Applies to graduates who graduated from the program after May 2017 with an overall cumulative average of 70% or more.
  • University of Northern British Columbia – Bachelor of Commerce in Human Resources Management. Applies to graduates who graduated from the program after May 2017 with an overall cumulative average of 70% or more.
  • Vancouver Island University - Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resources Management. Applies to graduates who graduated from the program after May 2017 with an overall cumulative average of 70% or more.
