Val Carter

With many years of experience in a wide variety of organizations, Val’s knowledge is based in the real world. She’s been there, done that, failed many times – and learned from her experiences.

Val is certified in both human resources and training & development. Through her company, The Success Centre, she partners with organizations both large and small to design and deliver enjoyable results-based learning sessions. She also facilitates courses for Continuing Education at the University of Calgary.

From 2007 to January 2017, I was the sole HR leader at a publicly traded Canadian alternative energy firm with a US based subsidiary that was acquired and privatised in 2015 by a China-based organisation.
