I offer more than 28 years of Human Resources experience in the public and industrial sectors in northern Alberta and B.C., in union and non-union environments. My career began as a Regional Personnel Manager with the Alberta Government, moved to Canadian Forest Products Ltd. (Canfor) in B.C. and Alberta as HR Coordinator. Finally, as Executive Director at Grande Prairie Regional College I lead the HR Department, assisted the Board in hiring its President and successfully managed two mergers prior to starting my own consulting business.
Sheila Newel began an extensive career as an instructor at SAIT where, after 10 years of instruction and instructional supervision, she was promoted to Dean of Communications, Dean of Applied Arts & Sciences, then Director of Human Resources. After leaving SAIT, Sheila continued to manage Human Resources departments in the energy sector. She earned her honors Bachelor of Arts Degree, Education Administration Graduate Diploma, and Human Resource Management Certificate from the University of Alberta, the University of Calgary, and Queens Industrial Centre, respectively.
Julianna Cantwell is the President of JUNA Consulting Inc., a strategic human resources consulting practice that helps organizations improve individual and group performance. Specializing in learning & development for 20 years and communications for more than 10 years, Julianna logs over 100 days a year speaking and facilitating learning.
Julianna is a graduate from the University of Alberta, NAIT, and MacEwan University and is a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR).
