International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans (IFEBP) Canadian E-Learning Courses

IFEBP offers ‘Fundamentals in Group Benefits’ and ‘Fundamentals in Retirement Plans’ in four-part certificate programs, or you can take them individually. All courses are offered on-demand and self-paced.

Pacific Coast University - For Workplace Health Sciences (PCU-WHS): Disability Management Practitioner Program

The Disability Management Practitioner Certificate Program courses emphasize the skills and knowledge required to return to work individuals who have incurred injuries or illnesses and provide an introduction to the competencies that are required to introduce and administer disability management programs. 

This program offers a range of topic areas that fall within the CPHR competency framework and would be of interest to those tasked with disability management and return to work-related activities. Members can enroll in the complete program or in select courses that are topic areas of interest. CPHR Alberta members will receive a preferred pricing rate on all registration rates pertaining to the program. All 25 courses have been approved for CPD hours.

PowerED™ by Athabasca University

PowerED™ is an award-winning entrepreneurial unit within Athabasca University, that builds on the university’s rich history of online learning, flexibility, and accessibility. To learn more about PowerED™, click here. 

Through PowerED™, CPHR Alberta members have access to a number of micro-credentials that have been selected and tailored to fit the unique needs of our HR community. Members can access several on-demand courses and certificates including Embracing Allyship & Inclusion, Coach Approach for Leadership Development and two leadership micro-credentials: Essential Skills for Leaders and the Leader Development Program.

All courses have been pre-approved for CPD hours and are offered at a preferred rate to CPHR Alberta members only. Explore the platform and view courses through your member profile.

RCU (Responsible Cannabis Use)

RCU (Responsible Cannabis Use) is a cannabis education company that brings awareness to cannabis facts, laws, regulations, and research. Through its products: Cann I Know and CannEd, RCU aims to educate all Canadians about responsible cannabis use.

This course counts as 1.5 Continuing Professional Development hours for CPHR Alberta members.
